She was a bit skittish being in a new location at the crack of dawn, but was responsive and stayed within her boundaries, and the biggest thing that made my decision to stay was that when she barked, she listened the first time I asked her to stop. I calmly told her that we were fine, and she was able to investigate with her senses without resorting to barking. I decided to come back for a week to see how she progresses. Right now, Waffles uses 16 words on her button mat, about 1/3 of which are food items. She knows how to ask for Chicken, Hamburger, Turkey, Carrots, Cauliflower, Broccoli, and Sweet Potatoes🥰 I am also planning on adding Zucchini, Green Beans, Rice, Couscous, and a few treat options down the line. The effects of canine obesity can be incredibly dangerous, and if you monitor your impulse to give into your dog's urges, it can be avoided so easily. Our relationship to food is similar to theirs because it's so easy to either eat too much or not enough, but if we are able to relate how much we have eaten to how much we have fed our dogs, it becomes simple to judge both in a much healthier manner.
